CONSTRUCTION

ABC Diving and its subsidiaries provide civil services to the MARINE CONSTRUCTION and MINING Industries in a wide variety of projects throughout South Pacific Islands.

LARGE MARITIME INFRASTRUCTURES:

We can be a useful Sub-Contractor for any large marine construction project requiring aerial or subsea solutions.

We provide:

  • Sea bed and infrastructures survey by means of R.O.V. with SeaTrac acoustic positioning
  • Sea bed and infrastructures survey by means of Divers with CCTV surface monitoring and recording with Full HD cameras
  • Work site survey by means of U.A.V (drones)
  • Scuba or Air Surface Supply diving assistance for Piling
  • (Underwater) CUTTING and WELDING (Broco® Underwater systems)
  • High Pressure Water JETTING (for cleaning or fast embeddment)
  • Small DREDGING by meams of air or/and water lift
  • Underwater Demolition by means of Underwater BREAKERS
  • Underwater Demolition by means of AutoStem Cartridges an environmentally friendly alternative for harbour and port blasting (no shockwave, 90% reduction in vibration)

SMALL MARITIME INFRASTRUCTURES :

Walkway with a combination of Square and Round Shafts helical piles,
with timber support brackets designed to attach to battered piles for lateral support.

ABC Diving Ltd operates:


  • A small barge with specific hydraulic Head Drivers to:
    • Drive Helix-Anchors
    • Drill into the sea bed for pipe vertical positioning (in diameters up to 4″) associated to water jetting for full foot embedment
    • Core Drill
  • A portable hydraulic Hammer for Pipes Piling (round and square)
  • Full range of hydraulic hand tools: Bandsaw, Chipping Hammer, Trash pump, Grinder, Impact wrench, Jack Ram, Rock Drill, Sinker Drill, etc.
  • Coral rocks removal and coral plate breaking by means of hydraulic breakers and/or AutoStem Cartridges an environmentally friendly alternative for harbour and port blasting (no shock-wave, 90% reduction in vibration).

we can:


  • BUILD small JETTIES, WALKWAYS, WHARVES, SEAWALLS in remote locations and sensitive areas
  • CREATE functional and distinctive designs for (small) piled jetties and walkways;
  • IMPROVE efficiencies and upgrade facilities to better meet needs and expectations;
  • REPAIR or REINFORCE all existing infrastructures (structural damages. foundation underpinning)

These hydraulic tools are usable UNDERWATER at any depths.

The different processes consist in:

 

  • STEEL thick PIPES or hollow sections deeply PILED into the sea bed through the sediments, rock-sand or limestone by means of manual hydraulic Driver.
  • WOOD Piling into the sea bed through the sediments, by means of a small crane and WATER JETTING
  • HELICAL ANCHORS + Extensions DRIVEN into the sea bed through the sediments, by means of a hydraulic Head Driver operated from a small barge.

The advantages:

 
  • FAST and STRONG construction*;
  • NO CONCRETING;
  • Imperceptible infrastructure impact on the ENVIRONMENT;
  • NO VIBRATIONS;
  • Suitable to all almost all sort of locations and configurations;
  • Reasonable COST (in regard of a heavy machinery implementation);
  • NO POLLUTION due to excavation or concrete works;
  • NO sand motion DISRUPTION on surrounding beaches;
  • Easy removal, replacement or maintenance (for jetties and walkways).

* Throughout Oceania, subject to strong cyclones, small jetties and walkways can resist better to the stronger winds and rough sea if made of round steel sections profiles (galvanized according to AUS/NZ Standards) deeply anchored into the soil or the sea bed.

POST – PIPE – HOLLOW SECTIONS DRIVING into sea bed and soils

Portable Hydraulic Hammer & Puller.
  • We operate versatile Hydraulic Hammer that will drive sections of almost any configuration, including “U” channel,
    round or square.
  • Pipes or Hollow sections piling is ideal for small jetty construction from a beach, without any impact on the environment by avoiding any large equipment implementation. These tools can operate from the shore or from our small barge (draft 0,40 m).
  • The driving/piling capacities are the following:
    • #2, #3 and #4 lb./ft. “U” Channel Sign Post;
    • #3 and #4 /Strong Back “U” Channel Sign Post;
    • #1 Delineator Post;
    • 1 3/4″ T-Post;
    • 1 3/4″, 2-1/2 in./63.5 mm and 2 1/4″ Square Post;
    • 2-5/8 in./67 mm Round Post;
    • 2″ Round pipe and 2″ Square.
  • For bigger Pile Pipe diameters, we proceed by pre-drilling and positioning/embedment by water-jetting.
