Underwater Pipeline ENTRENCHMENT
Into sea bed made of soft sediments (mud, sand, broken coral) the embedment in a trench all along the u/w pipeline itinerary will avoid it to be affected by natural or human activities (current, storm, anchoring, fishing…) and will provide a natural cocoon. For this aim ABC Diving operates Low Pressure Water Jetting Tools The entrenchment with hydraulic tools and/or water jetting, operated with our small floating barge capable to work in very shallow waters, will not cause any pollution in sensitive areas: it is environment-friendly.Underwater Pipeline secured by means of Seabed ANCHOR STAKES and/or HELICAL ANCHORS
Into sea bed made of hard sediments (rocksand, limestone) it consists in using special steel Anchor stakes with hook, hydraulically piled at regular intervals to secure the pipeline all along. This sort of anchorage fit to small sizes of pipes up to 3″.
In areas subject to strong tidal currents or sustained human activity and for wider sizes of pipe, helical anchors can also be used with a very efficient result for years and years of tranquility.
In Aneityum (south Vanuatu) the entrechment of the water pipeline 0.50 m into the sea bed
resisted to cyclone PAM (force 5) and very rough sea by getting deeper embeded!
